About the Club
Northland Elite Basketball Club, Inc. was founded in 2016. The club features players from the northwest region of Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and in 2023 it expanded to include northwest Iowa. Northland Elite serves a largely rural area to provide an opportunity to play basketball during the offseason.
The club puts a strong emphasis on individual skill and character development and strives to create a positive learning environment for each athlete. Players from the Northland Elite program walk away as better basketball players and better people.

About the Founder
Kyle Bernhoft was born and raised in Glidden, Wisconsin, and attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout. While at Stout, Kyle worked with both the men's and women's basketball programs as a student assistant. The Lady Blue Devils won three consecutive WIAC regular season and tournament championships during Kyle's time there.
At age 21, Kyle was hired as Head Coach for the short-lived Butternut-Glidden High School boys basketball team. It was also during this time that Kyle spent time organizing basketball camps and tournaments and had a short stint with the Wisconsin Viking Club (a.k.a. Team Wisconsin). Kyle's Viking Club team finished 2nd in the 2006 AAU State Championship Tournament.
After graduating with a degree in Marketing & Business Education from Stout, Kyle accepted a teaching position at Sheboygan Falls High School and served as JV Girls Basketball coach. Kyle then went to Mellen High School to teach and become the Head Girls Basketball Coach. The Granite Diggers won 34 games in Kyle's three seasons as coach and appeared in the 2014 WIAA Regional Championship Game.
Kyle served from 2015-2022 as Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at Northland College in Ashland. In summer 2022, he accepted a position as Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at Buena Vista University in Iowa. He and his family currently reside in Iowa.
